Smart Pot Beef Stroganoff

Beef Stroganoff using my NutriCook Smart Pot. Ready in 20 minutes, the same time I take to cook my rice or pasta.

Function: Sautee
  • 500grams’ beef tenderloin cut into thin slices
  • 2 TBSPButter
  • Splash of Olive Oil
  • 1medium onions (diced)
  • 1garlic glove (minced)
  • 200 gramsfresh mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1/4 cupflour
  • 1 1/2 cupbeef broth
  • 2 tspWorcestershire sauce
Function: Pressure Cook
  • 12Minutes
Function: Soup
  • 200 MLCooking Cream
  • 1 TBSPStarch
  • Served with cooked pasta or rice.
  • Parsley for garnish (optional)

Sautee

  1. Add butter and olive oil.
  2. Sautee onions and then add garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add the mushrooms and cook.
  4. Add flour, mix well.
  5. Add the beef broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix.

Pressure Cook

  1. Turn off the sauté function and choose the pressure cook function. Set for 12 minutes.
  2. Traditionally this dish is served with pasta - I use this time to bring my water to boil and cook the pasta.

Finish Off

  1. Once the cooking is done. Remove lid, and turn on the soup function.
  2. If the sauce is too thin, remove some with a ladle and mix in a tablespoon of starch. And return to mixture.
  3. Add cooking cream (I prefer to have it at room temp) instead of straight out of the fridge. Bring to one boil and serve.
  4. Garnish with parsley (optional)
