IKEA Swedish Meat Balls
IKEA's famous meatballs prepared in your own kitchen. Served Swedish style with mash potatoes, jam, and homemade cream sauce.

- 2 TBSPVegetable Oil
- Meatballs from IKEA
- 50grams’ butter
- 50grams’ flour (6 TBSP)
- 1 cupchicken or beef broth (I used chicken (240 ML))
- 200 MLCooking Cream
- 1 TSPDijon Mustard
Serve with:
- IKEA's frozen mashed potatoes (or make your own)
- Green Peas
- IKEA’S SYLT LINGON Lingonberry jam
Method
- Cook meatballs in vegetable oil until browned.
- For the sauce, add 50 grams of butter and mix in with 50 grams of flour (6 tablespoons) and toast them slightly.
- Add your choice of chicken or meat broth. I used chicken broth.
- Whisk in 200 ML of heavy cream (make sure it's not straight out of the fridge).
- Add 1 TSP of dijon mustard.
- Mix well until thickened.
- Serve the meat balls with mashed potatoes, peas, IKEA's jam, and the homemade sauce! YUM!
