It was one of those days where I didn’t feel like cooking and wanted to make something in about 20 minutes! No regrets, the flavor was there, and the kitchen was clean. This one pan-Asian Honey Sesame Beef was gone in minutes…
Ingredients
- 400 grams baby veal, thinly sliced
- 2 TBSP Olive Oil
- 2 TBSP Sesame Oil
- 1/4 TSP Salt
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- ½ cup cold water + 1 1/2 tablespoons corn starch
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions, for garnish
Sauce Ingredients
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 1 TBSP sesame oil
- 6 tablespoons honey
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1/4 tsp pomegranate molasses
Directions
- Mix together sauce ingredients and set aside
- Marinate the beef with olive oil and sesame oil and set aside (You can marinate up to 30 minutes in advance or more to your liking)
- Mix together the cold water and cornstarch and set aside
- In a frying pan, cook the beef for 8 – 10 minutes until well done on medium low heat
- Add the sauce mix to the cooked beef until it bubbles, then add the cornstarch mixture until thickened
- Serve on a bed of rice and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions
