These Mushroom Crostini with parsley and garlic are a great start to any dinner and they’re absolutely bursting with flavor!
Ingredients
- 1 Baguette cut into equal slices (around 2 cm each)
- 1 small onion finely diced
- 1 TBSP Olive oil
- 30 grams’ butter
- 3 Cups finely chopped fresh mushrooms
- 1 Cup fresh cream
- 1 TSP corn starch
- ¼ cup parsley cut finely
- ¼ cup mozzarella cheese
- ¼ TSP garlic powder
- 1/3 cup parmesan cheese finely grated
- ¼ cup sun dried tomatoes finely chopped (optional)
- Salt/Pepper to taste
Directions
- Preheat oven to 200 degrees, and place sliced baguettes for 2 – 3 minutes per side
- Meanwhile in a frying pan, add olive oil and butter then cook onion until translucent, add garlic powder and mix
- Lower heat, and add mushrooms mixing frequently until fragrant, then add fresh cream mixed with corn starch, followed by the parsley leaves, and bring mixture to boil
- Once the mixture has boiled turn off heat, and add ¼ cup mozzarella cheese, and mix
- Allow mixture to cool down
- Finally spread the mixture across the baguette bread, and top with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese
- Bake in oven until mixture is bubbly, and serve hot
